Walking into my first ever yoga class (an Ashtanga class in Central London) I had absolutely no idea what to expect! I crept to the back of the class and hoped I could keep up. An hour later, I left that class feeling fantastic and soon one class a week turned into two and soon I had a regular weekly yoga practice.
The benefits of a regular practice were huge. My yoga practice was not only helping me sleep better but I also noticed I could manage day to day stress better along with enhanced strength and flexibility.
I soon realised there was so much more to yoga than just the physical asana (posture) practice and I needed to learn more so.....six years after my first yoga class I signed up to a Yoga Teacher Training course. Initially I had no intention of teaching yoga, the training was just a way for me to go deeper into the philosophy and strengthen my practice.
However, once I'd qualified, I couldn't wait to share the practice of yoga and all the benefits with others.
I am truly passionate about bringing yoga to anyone that wants to practice!
Community is important to me and the Yoga Serenity community is growing! All my classes are super friendly with a calm and relaxed atmosphere, giving people a space to practice with support and without judgement.
In 2024 I trained to become a Sound Practitioner with the wonderful Holly Husler, becoming accredited with the Complimentary Medical Association.
I love holding sound baths and sharing the magic of my crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, allowing students to rest deeply.
I'll always be a student first, and i'm now on my 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training.. The journey continues!
You are so welcome to join me in exploring the transformative power of yoga!
